To the Rawson Family Story
Recently I started looking for Lou's, Rawson side of the family, as he grew up not knowing any of them except for his grandmother Rawson in Grandview, Washington where they lived.
His father, Foster Owen Rawson left him and his mother when Lou was six months old.
By using some of the resourses on the Internet, I posted a message in the Rawson family section.  About four months later, someone answered my post.  It turned out to be a first cousin. We exchanged pictures and information, and found out that Lou has 5 half brothers and a half sister. We since have been in contact with some of them, and just spent our Easter getting to know one of his brothers and his wife. They are great people, and we had a great vacation. We all met in Grants Pass, Oregon as that was half way for us, since they live in Portland and we are in Northern California.
Just a few weeks before, we had met Lou's Uncle, and his daughter. We enjoyed them so much.  This has been so exciting to find family that you did not know you had. So if you are looking for family, don't give up.
What a great time we had. We are now looking forward to meeting the rest of the brothers, and Lou's sister, and cousins.
On this trip, we took the girls up to Grandview, and Prosser, Washington where the Rawson's had made their home. We took pictures along the way, and enjoyed the whole trip. Lou's mother and dad had honeymooned at Multnomah Falls in 1951 on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. Of course we had to stop there for some Photos. You can see more photos if you click on the photo link. I have just added a few on this page.

This is the old Rawson Homeplace in Prosser Washington. It was the home of Anna Inez and David Lorenzo Rawson.
This is the house that Lou grew up in, in Grandview, Washington till he was about 9 years old and they moved to Los Angeles, California.
