We need to allow our belief to be more than just head knowledge. We need to act upon it.
It is said that decision is 5% and following through on the decision is 95%. Once you have decided to make Christ Lord of you life, you will prove that He is Lord as you submit to Him hour by hour and obey Him in the daily affairs of life. Public confession, either verbally or through the way we live a transformed life. Part of this confession is also to bring our sins to God and ask for forgiveness.
1 John 1:9
Confession - involving forgiveness of sins, and the transforming of our life - giving us new direction, new purposes, new goals, a new sense of belonging.
Once we believe and have confessed, God adopts us into His family. Being a child of God is not a right we can demand; we cannot purchase it with riches or deeds.
Adoption into the family of God is a gift from God.
He gives this gift to those who believe in His name.
It is brought about by God's Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:15
Adopted into God's family, made one of his children who will be with Him forever; this is the best thing that could happen to us for the whole of our life.
