Mayflower Ancestry

Richard Warren was probably born in England. He married Elizabeth, born about 1580, definitely prior to 1610. They had 5 daughters and 2 sons, namely, Mary, Anna, Sarah, ELIZABETH, Abigail, Nathaniel, and Joseph. Richard Warren came over on the Mayflower alone in 1620. His wife and five daughters came over on the Anne in 1623. His two sons were born in Plymouth. Richard Warren died in Plymouth in 1628, and his wife died there on October 2, 1673 aged above 90 years.

Elizabeth Warren, daughter of Richard, was born in 1616 in England. She was married in Plymouth before March 14, 1635 to Richard Church. Richard was born in England in 1608. They had 11 children, namely, Elizabeth, Joseph, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Richard, Charles, CALEB, Abigail, Sarah, Mary, and Deborah. Richard Church died in Dedham on Dec. 27, 1668 and is buried in Hingham, where he resided for many years. Elizabeth died in Hingham on March 9, 1669/70.

*** You might be wondering why I have two years written for Elizabeth Church's death. The reason for this is because America had not yet won its independence from England. England celebrated New Years at a different time than the Pilgrims. It was 1670 in America, but still 1669 in England. Therefore, dates early in the year were represented with America's and England's year.

Caleb Church, son of Richard, was born in Plymouth in 1646. He married Johanna Sprague, daughter of William and Millicent (Eames) Sprague, on December 16, 1667 in Hingham, Mass. They had 8 children, namely, HANNAH, Ruth, Lydia, Caleb, Joshua, Abigail, and twins, Isaac and Rebecca. Johanna died on July 11, 1678 (probably because of childbirth with the twins). Caleb died before June 26, 1722 in Watertown, Mass.

Hannah Church, daughter of Caleb, was born in Hingham on Dec. 26, 1668, She married Matthew Boomer, son of Matthew and Elinor (Peckham) Boomer, on June 27, 1688 in Freetown, Mass. Matthew Boomer was born on Sept 26, 1668 in Newport, RI. They had 8 children, namely, Matthew, Lydia, Hannah, Mercy, Deborah, CALEB, Ruth, and Joshua. Matthew Boomer died in 1735 in Freetown, Mass. Hannah died before 1744, probably in Freetwon, Mass.

Caleb Boomer, son of Matthew, was born in Freetown on March 16, 1698. He married Sarah Martin, daughter of John and Mercy (Hayward) Martin on Sept 19, 1725. Sarah was born in 1704/5. My sources tell me she was born in Rehoboth, Mass., yet there is no documentation of her birth there. They had 7 children, namely, Johannah, Caleb, Martin, Sarah, Joshua, Daniel, and MATTHEW. Caleb died on March 14, 1774.

Matthew Boomer, son of Caleb, was born in 1738 in Freetown, Mass. He married Jane (Jean) Weld on Dec. 6, 1757 in Freetown, Mass. Jane was born in 1738, daughter of John and Mehitable (Child) Weld. They had 14 children, but unfortunately the first 6 girls died young. The others were John, Edward, Benjamin, Elizabeth, MATTHEW, Caleb, William, and Jabez. Matthew died on Feb. 17, 1812 in Belleville, NY. Jane also died there on Jan. 1, 1822.

Matthew Boomer, son of Matthew, was born on Nov. 25, 1767 in Westport, Mass. He married Sara Woodell (Wodell) on March 16, 1787 in Tiverton, RI. Sara was born on July 4, 1770, daughter of Gershom and Peace (Borden) Wodell. They had 14 children, namely, Stephen, Oliver, Betsey, Matthew, Huldah, Judith, Sally Ann, Lydia, Manley, Eleanor, LEONARD, John, Almeda, and Penelope. Sara died on July 19, 1853. Matthew died on Jan. 24, 1859 in Ellisburg, NY.

Leonard Boomer, son of Matthew, was born on March 18, 1808 in Belleville, NY. He married Nancy Chamberlain on Jan. 13, 1828 in Ellisburg, NY. Nancy was born on April 25, 1811 in Vermont, daughter of Benjamin and Lucretia (Boyden) Chamberlain. They had 4 children, namely, Mary Jane(died young), Sally Ann, Stewart, and ALMYRA. Nancy died on Sept. 1, 1885 in Ellisburg. Leonard died on Feb. 2, 1892, also in Ellisburg.

Almyra Boomer, daughter of Leonard, was born on May 15, 1843 in New York. She married Henry Clark in 1865. Henry was born on March 10, 1845, son of Lyman and Mary (Smith) Clark. They had 5 children, namely, FRANCES ANN, George, Dennison, Helen, and Leonard. Almyra died on Feb. 26, 1918 and William died in 1927.

Frances Ann Weed, daughter of Henry, was born on Feb, 2, 1866 in Ellisburg, NY. She married Charles A. Weed on Nov. 17, 1886 in Sandy Creek, NY (could have also married in Ellisburg). Charles was the son of Newton and Emily (Woodard) Weed. They had 5 children, namely, BLANCHE, Glen, Gleason, Lora, and LaVera. Charles died on March 17, 1926 in Sandy Creek, NY. Frances Ann died on Sept. 4, 1945 in Sandy Creek, NY.

Blanche Weed, daughter of Charles, was born on July 26, 1888 in Ellisburg, NY. She married Clarence Matthews on Dec. 6, 1906 in Adams, NY. Clarence was born on April 3, 1885 in Ellisburg, son of Edward and Lena (Scott) Matthews. They had 3 children, namely, CLIFFORD, Doris, and Leitha. Clarence died on Jan. 17, 1951 in Ellisburg. Blanche died on June 22, 1970 in Watertown, NY.

Clifford Matthews, son of Clarence, was born on August 10, 1907 in Ellisburg, NY. He married Bertha Lean on Nov. 12, 1927 in Sandy Creek, NY. Bertha was born on April 4, 1911 in Ellisburg, daughter of Walter and Jen (Higgs) Lean. They had 3 children, namely, Shirley, Earl, and JOYCE. Clifford died on Dec. 13, 1954. Bertha died on May 5, 1999 in Oswego County, NY.

Joyce Matthews, daughter of Clifford, was born on April 3, 1932 in Watertown, NY. She married Nathaniel Minnion on June 30, 1951 in Oswego, NY. Nathaniel was born on Feb. 23, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, son of Nathaniel and Gertrude (Lawrence) Minnion. They had three children, namely, Kerry, KEITH, and Michele. Kerry had two children, Shane and Chelsea. Michele had one child, Jessica.

Keith Minnion, son of Nathaniel, was born on May 13, 1954 in Rockville Centre, New York. He married Deborah Woehr on Oct. 1, 1983. Deborah was born on March 17, 1958 in Philadelphia, daughter of Robert and Alice (Burgoon) Woehr. They had 2 children, namely, MEGAN and Justin.

Megan Minnion, daughter of Keith, was born on Dec. 3, 1985 in Philadelphia, PA.
