Hi! My name is Bob Tillander (N4XV) and I've been a HAM Radio operator since July, 1996. My brother, N3FWC, introduced me to HAM Radio and he pushed with my studies so that I would pass the exams. I am greatful to him for getting me interested in HAM Radio and plugging at me with my studies.

Since getting my ticket (license) for HAM Radio Operator I have really enjoyed operating the HF bands. You get to meet some really great people on HAM Radio.

I no longer work for a living as I am among the disabled. When I was in the work force I was an industrial electrician and a marine electrician. Mainly in factories and shipyards and also in the merchant marines as a chief electrician on oil tankers. Now that I'm disabled I have a lot of time on my hands and it seems that being in front of a computer is the perfect place for me.

I'm 53 years young as of March 1999.
