My loving wife and I both have life-threatening diseases; hers are silicone-induced auto-immune diseases;I am in remission from cancer. This is only mentioned to say that our source of strength for each new day comes from our Lord! Without His strength, we would probably have given up a long time ago. God never promised us a rose garden, but that He would help us through the "thorns", and times of testing!
Throughout the Bible, God reveals that many of the men and women that He has used the most, have been through trials and tribulations. This isn't to say that we have "attained the mark", but God has used all we have been through to draw us closer to each other,as husband and wife, and closer to the Lord.We thank Him for each new day, and depend upon Him, and draw upon HIS strength for each day.
If you don't have the assurance that if you would die today, that you would go to Heaven, it's very simple to have that assurance. The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10," that if we will confess with our mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, that we shall be saved". It's not complicated; all it takes is simple childlike faith!!
