Never in my life have i fallen so in love with a particular breed of dog as i have with the Greyhounds. I currently have a total of four. My very first one has now passed on. I am a cat with a crazy greyhound brother named Jesse. I believe you met him at the MGA Reunion. He's goofy and funny and just the silliest dog I ever did meet. He's rolled off of the sofa so many times that we've lost count. He likes to take bubble baths All Ma has to do is point to the bathroom and tell him to go soak in the tub...and in he goes. She lets him soak for awhile and then comes back after a few minutes to scrub and rinse him. You can see him in his bubblebath if you visit my Donut Hut. Gr yhounds are cool!

I have owned, trained, shown and bred Schipperke dogs for 15+ yrs. In 7/94, a friend asked me to foster an ex-racing Greyhound for 2 weeks. I refused because I already had 7 Schips, I am a very small person, and I have Cerebral Palsy. I thought a big Grey ound would kill me if it took off running on a leash, My friend persisted and I agreed to that the last track dog to be placed in foster, Beaver. He is a medium-sized boy, but to me he looked like a dinosaur! At home, I found him to be gentle and sensitive, wanting to please. He slept on my bed that night... and now he is 6 yrs. old and we've had him 4 years. I never thought I'd have any breed except Schipperkes, but we came to love Greyhounds so much. We were so lucky to get such a wonderful dog!

I really enjoyed your pages. Your dogs are beautiful! If I had it to do over again (adopt a grey) I definately would! In addition to "Spree", we have a Newfoundland and a cat...so no more room at the Inn! Since adopting Spree, I can honestly say that I don't think I'll ever do the "puppy thing" again...and I'm not sure I'll ever want another breed...the Newfie's great, but the greys are the best! I have really enjoyed your greyhound homepage. My husband & I adopted Earl from the Greyhound Pets of America in Birmingham AL back in 1993. He is the biggest love and character. He loves everyone he meets. You are right about the "potato chip" syndrome! If there had not been some major health problems the last few years - we would have been back for another love.
