We had carried out the measured drawings of the fort as it grew in phases and then completed a comprehensive report on the history and evolution of the fort-palace. The active association with the Directors, Mr. Aman Nath and Mr. Francis Wacziarg, has been an enriching experience. In fact, the experience gained over here, has been invaluble in many projects. In August 2000, a new block of 4 floors was added to the fort. The top floor houses the swimming pool & deck, while the changing rooms and ayurvedic massage center are tucked below the pool. The pool has been finished using glass mosaic tiles. Two jacuzzi have been incorporated within pool area. The stone masonry butteresses integrate the structure with the old, while providing cosy sitting on the deck. Many guests have been surprised at the new that matches the old.
