Carpenter.  He was German Baptist Church.  He Migrated to Dayton, OH..  He

was married to Auguste Henriette GOETTOW/GETTING on 29 Aug 1858

 in Hope, Dickinson Co., KS.

Auguste Henriette GOETTOW/GETTING was born on 24 Dec 1824 in Gottow,

Prenzlau, Prussia, Germany.  She immigrated in 1868.  She died on 7 Feb 1908

in Hope, Dickinson Co., KS.  She was buried in German Baptist Church

Cemetery, Dickinson Co., KS.  Carl Johann SCHMIDT and Auguste Henriette

GOETTOW/GETTING had the following children:

  ii. Wilhelm Karl August SCHMIDT was born on 14 Jul 1862 in Prenzlau,

  iii. Karl Richard August SCHMIDT was born on 16 Mar 1865 in Prenzlau,

Brandenburg, Prussia.  He died on 29 Sep 1936 in Buffalo, NY.  He was a

Preacher, Baptist.

  iv. Johannes Karl "John A." SCHMIDT was born on 15 Sep 1867 in Prenzlau,

Prussia.  He died on 24 Jan 1959 in Dickenson Co., KS.  He was buried in

First Baptist Church Cemetery, Dickenson, KS.

  v. Charles Henry SCHMIDT was born on 15 Jul 1869 in Dayton, OH.  He died

on 23 Feb 1961 in Abilene, Dickinson, KS.  He was a Carpenter.

2.  CHARLES HENRY² SCHMIDT (CARL J.¹) was born July 15, 1869 

in Dayton, Ohio, and died February 23, 1961 in Abilene, Kansas.  

He married EMMA MIERMEISTER October 31, 1894 in Dillon, Kansas, 

daughter of CARL MIERMEISTER and LOUISA BEISENTHAL.  

She was born April 27, 1874 in Ripon, Wisconsin, 

and died June 12, 1948 in Abilene, Kansas.     

Children of CHARLES SCHMIDT and EMMA MIERMEISTER are:

 i.   CLARENCE CARL³ SCHMIDT, b. April 14, 1897; d. June 26, 1934, 

St. Margaret's Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.

 iii.   HARVEY SCHMIDT, b. September 07, 1900, Dillon, Kansas; 

d. May 10, 1985, Amarillo, Texas.

CLARENCE CARL3 SCHMIDT (CHARLES HENRY2, CARL J.1) was born
April 14, 1897, and died June 26, 1934.  He married 
GRACE MAE HAWK June 29, 1923 in Abilene, Kansas,
 daughter of SIMON HAWK and SUSAN SMILEY.

Child of CLARENCE SCHMIDT and GRACE HAWK is:
ROBERT LEE4 SCHMIDT, b. February 14, 1924, Abilene,
Kansas; d. December 03, 1997, Vallejo, California.
