    Currently work with IBM Support Line customers across the United States and on a world wide basis to resolve data access problems with IBM Client Access. Client Access is a software product which allows PC's to connect to an iSeries 400 (AS/400) mini computer and provide emulation, network drive, and data access capabilities. Keane Team manager for employees in the Data Access and Small Products queues which make up part of the IBM Rochester iSeries 400 Support Line.

  • Provide telephone support including trouble-shooting and configuration assistance.
  • Act as a link to the IBM software development team to provide software defect support.
  • Responsible for 20 months for assisting customers with install and connectivity issues running on a variety of platforms (inc. DOS, Win3.1 Win95, and OS/2) and connecting in a variety of environments (inc. Ethernet and Token-Ring LAN, TCPIP, TDLC, and some Asynchronous).
  • Responsible for nine+ years for assisting customers with network drive and data access issues on various platforms and environments. Includes ODBC, Net Server, IFS, and some OLE DB experience as well as JDBC, .NET, QShell and a number of other functions.

    Responsible for all computer functions within the hospital. Department Director of Information Services and Patient Billing.

  • Researched and prepared analysis and cost-justification of System 36 versus AS400 computers. Presented recommendations to Board of Directors.
  • Purchased and implemented AS400 computer system and peripherals. Supervised software conversion.
  • Trained hospital personnel in use of AS400 software, including IBM Query and Office Vision software.
  • Installed and implemented PC Support as an emulation program.
  • Researched, recommended, and implemented dial-in PC Support and offsite twin-ax device capabilities.
  • Researched, recommended, and implemented Millard-Wayne Physician Clinic Information System software.

  • Coordinated operation of data processing equipment within the hospital.
  • Worked with department directors to develop customized reports both on both the IBM System 36 and stand alone PC's.
  • Set up PC's for numerous departments. Worked extensively with DOS, batch files, and various spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Worked extensively with IBAX Hospital Information System software, including Patient Accounting, Records Management, Pharmacy, General Ledger, and Accounts Payable applications.
