Premo
Family Page
We have been searching
for this part of the family for quite
awhile. Endless searches in Courthouses & Libraries.
We knew that they existed, but it
seemed like we
would
never find them. Then one day, we got a response from
a letter we sent and
then another, you talk about excitement!
First we received a response from Terri and Dennis
Premo
and then we heard from John who is Elizabeth and Louis' son.
Dennis and Terri are the grandchildren of Elizabeth and Louis.
Later we received another letter from Violet Premo.
They have shared so graciously, information on their loved ones.
I hope they know just how much it meant to
us,
that they responded to that letter from a stranger!
And best of all we found out that we are not
strangers, but family.
Cousins to be exact!
Needless to Say We Feel Very Lucky!!!!!!
So without further ado.... we want to tell you about the Premos!
Louis and Elizabeth (Traver)
Premo
Louis was born May 30, 1887.
Elizabeth "Libbie" born December 19, 1896
They were married June 8, 1922.
Louis and Elizabeth had 6 children.
(1) John Premo (Lorraine)
(2) Norman Premo (mar. to Nita Mae Smith)
(3) Harold Premo
(4) Howard Premo
(5) Arlene Premo
(6) Richard Premo (married to Violet Dye)
We were sad to hear that of the six children, two have
passed away.
Harold Premo and his brother Norman. Harold passed away April 11,
1995
and Norman July 18, 1988.
I have a couple of pictures I would like to share with you.
These are some of the Premo Children.
Special thanks go to John who
took the time to send these to us.
Richard,
Arlene, John, and Howard Premo

There are still many blanks, but the puzzle is coming together!
We believe that Elizabeth was the fourteenth child born to
William Traver and Ella Traver (Brown). We believe that Ella
died in childbirth and William being 69 yrs at the birth of this
child was probably too old to give Elizabeth the care she
needed.
So, very sadly Elizabeth was raised by a family by the name
Taylor. William was married twice. His
first wife Harriet or
better known as Anna died abt. 1877 and he later married Ella,
which was Elizabeth "Libbie's" mom. Elizabeth and her sister
Agnes were deprived of their mother. Agnes was only about
four when Ella died. Agnes her sister was raised by a family
named Brandenburg.
Clara their older sister had filed for her father's Civil War
Pension to help raise the two girls. She took care of them
for a time, but both girls ended up with other families.
I hope to be learning more about this relation named
Elizabeth, who married Louis. We wish that we could of got
to know her. Dennis & Terry told me how sweet she was.
Enough for now, but I will enter more info as it becomes
available.
