  • Lead development team in the creation of a billing system and re-engineering of a client database system. Resulted in a design that reduced inconsistent data by allowing Domino to leverage web technologies, LEI, and Oracle to store data in a single location.
  • Increased customer satisfaction with the implementation of project documentation, processes and communication. Resulted in an increased ability to deliver successful projects and better communication during the projects life cycle.
  • Analyzed the effectiveness of upgrading to Domino R6 including connectivity to existing J2EE and Oracle environments. Increased the development team’s ability to create true three-tier applications leveraging Domino.
  • Modified the company’s mail template to allow users to control the ability to temporarily forward mail. Also allowed the helpdesk to turn off the users mail file when they are no longer employed by the company.
  • Mentored on the use of web technologies, LEI, DECS, Notrix, Visual Basic and C++ in the Domino environment. Overall increased knowledge of the technologies allowed the development teams to choose the most efficient tools for the developed applications.

    Pathmark Stores Inc. Carteret, NJ

  • Supervised a development team to assist Pathmark Stores Inc. in migrating the existing VM/PROFS forms to a new Domino environment, configure a new messaging infrastructure and create a company intranet. Leveraged the IBM Methods throughout the project, performed use case, design, code and testing reviews.
  • Architected a company intranet portal using iNotes, Domino, LotusScript, JavaScript, Java, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, and graphic editors. Constructed custom navigation in iNotes allowing employees to navigate to their mail and calendar from the main portal and back. Developed an application to support the store incident reports leveraging the Adobe PDF API. Designed and developed a “forms bin” application to house all the migrated VM/PROFS forms based on a component-based architecture allowing future form creation time to be reduced by 50%.
  • Conducted team meetings to review use case documentation, design documentation and perform code reviews. Facilitated weekly team status meetings and reported all results to client contacts.
  • Managed client expectations of the engagements and the “in-scope” requirements. Maintained project deliverables and prevented “scope creep” from the client as well as “gold plating” from the development team.
  • Worked with Lotus and IBM representatives to gain additional work from this engagement increasing the project revenue from $200,000 to over $400,000.

  • Lead development team to analyze and migrate Barnes & Noble’s Cash & Sales application from its hosted NT environment to a company hosted AS/400 environment.

    The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company Montvale, NJ

  • Assisted A&P with performance issues in their production RS/6000 environment. Performed load and stress testing on the application, documented the results and provided next steps. Modified the AIX and Domino environments to enhance overall performance. Worked with application team to debug and correct the application where necessary. Worked with Lotus technical support to identify problems in the current release.

    Pitney Bowes Danbury, CT

  • Supervised a development team to migrate the Pitney Bowes Domino environment from Domino R4 to Domino R5. Designed and developed a tool to analyze the Pitney Bowes environment, returning information about all the Domino databases. Assisted in gaining additional projects increasing the project revenue from $230,000 to over $500,000. Marketed products like Domino Discovery Server to other departments in Pitney Bowes, which lead to further meetings with Lotus Sales Representatives.

    State Street Bank Boston, MA

  • Managed a mobile team to create a proof of concept application to automate State Street Bank’s hiring and termination processes. Architected a solution leveraging Domino Workflow and SQL stored procedures. Automating the process of requesting security badges, network IDs, etc. and decreased the time to complete the transaction by 75%.

    Lucent Technologies Murray Hill, NJ

  • Managed a team of developers to migrate the existing portal from Microsoft ASP technology to Domino. Designed a migration tool to completely migrate the entire site. Assisted in the construction of a custom Quickplace personal bookmark application. Integrated Lotus Sametime into the applications and portal, setup single sign-on functionality allowing users to login once to the environment.

  • Supervised a team of developers to create a proof of concept application that hosted virtual project spaces between the Intranet and Internet, while having all the data in a central repository. Architected a solution leveraging Domino.doc for the data storage, Domino for the central web interface and Lotus Quickplace for the virtual rooms.

    IBM Web Content Change Management System New York, NY

  • Managed a team of developers to construct a web content management system, which integrated with ibm.com and allowed departments to manage their own sites. Designed and developed functions leveraging LotusScript, JavaScript, HTML, and @Commands. Assisted in the integration of an XML based web page editor tool.

    Dupont Investment Services Department Wilmington, DE

  • Architected a solution to automate the creation of daily stock reports. Developed functions using the Win32 API to allow the application to control the user’s default printer and customize the output to create a completed report.

  • Managed a team to assist the client in migrating 1300 GroupWise users from Hong Kong, London and New York to new Domino R5 environment. Defined a migration and co-existence strategy. Planned and rolled out a pilot group of 50 users. Managed all project plans, change requests, contracts, scope of work proposals, and employee time and operating expense.

  • Designed and Developed worldwide applications leveraging macros, LotusScript, JavaScript, HTML, DLL’s, API’s, OLE and ODBC. Developed applications to automate office applications, delete linked documents across applications and synchronize data between dB2 and Notes. Participated in the development of several web applications automating business processes for the IBM meeting facilities. Diagnosed client mail systems to enhance existing designs and recommend enhancements. Installed Lotus Notes Servers, configured SMTP, POP3, MIME, X400, and Gateways. Participated as project team lead to migrate 10,000 employees from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95. Developed a complete automated process eliminating the time to install by 50%.
