The Association is a family club--and any family club can succeed only if they have members. If you are a Faircloth or descendant of a Faircloth, you are urged to join and support the club and its goals.
The Faircloth Family Association was founded in 1978 by Robert Earl Woodham, a member of the Seminole County, Georgia branch of our family established by Mathew Faircloth. Robert Earl has been working on family history as a hobby since he was 12 years old (more than 40 years now). He has amassed a large collection of family records and information which has become our official Faircloth Family National Library. He founded the Faircloth Family National Reunion.
The activities of the Family Association are supported by your annual membership dues. The dues help pay for such things as printing and mailing the family newsletters, office supplies, notebooks, postage for correspondence, envelopes, printer paper, copying paper and much more. Above all, the dues help pay for more research--to buy copies of all types of records from local courthouses and libraries.
If you are a descendant of the Faircloth family, you are urged to join and support your family club. Without your support, a lot of family projects such as our family website won't be possible. Our Family Library cannot continue to grow without members supporting it. Join us and help make this dream come true.
Your membership in the family club is very important to make it a success.
The total cost of keeping us "on the air", including the telephone connection, is about $50 per month. Hope you enjoy our efforts so far and will decide to join the family club and help support the website and our other family projects. We need your help to stay on the air.
Faircloth Family History
An introduction to our family history. Copies may still be ordered of this book, first published in 1985. It is a paperback, spiral-bound book. Cost: $35
Faircloth Family Photo Album, Volume I
This volume is no longer available. It contained dozens of photos of members of the family from all over the nation. They included photos almost a hundred years old as well as more recent ones. We hope to publish another volume of photos soon.
The following books are now in preparation and we hope they will be completed soon. Originally, we had planned a single book on our earliest ancestors in England. However, because of the tremendous amount of information we have found so far, it was necessary to break it into more than one volume. These will tell the origins of our family and their spread throughout the island nation and later to America. Copies of these books on our Faircloth history must be ordered in advance.

Your Faircloth Family National Library had its beginnings more than 40 years ago--as the collection of information and records of our Family Historian, Robert Earl Woodham. He began his life-long hobby of family history at the age of 12.
Here are the kind of records we are gathering and preserving on our family:
Personal family records
Information in our Family Library is kept on family information sheets: these include the names of the father and mother, when and where they were born, married, died and are buried; their parents and grandparents names; and same info on their children.
Census records
The United States was the first nation to ever gather a record of all the folk living within its borders. By law, a census of every person residing within the nation is taken every ten years, beginning in 1790. We already have most of the census records on Faircloths from 1790 up to 1920 but still have a few records in some states yet to obtain.
Birth and death certificates, marriage records, family Bible records, wills, probate records, land grants, homesteads, deeds obituaries, military records, published records (books, magazines), family community ties and honors (copies of school records, diplomas, school and club memberships, awards and certificates; old letters.
