Christmas Projects
I have been very busy getting all my Christmas Projects done to get them in the mail and off to my friends and loved ones in time for the big day. These are just a few examples of what I have been doing. I still have unfinished things awaiting their turns at completion. I am sure they will make it back into my hands soon. Maybe if you drop in again, they will show up here!
This is a doll that I finished for the Dress A Doll contest at my local bank. It is crocheted from an old pattern I found and resized to fit a larger doll. The dress is made using Red Heard worsted weight yarn and has single mini silk roses for accent. The ensemble is topped off with a winter beret following the same stitch pattern and color scheme as the dress. I didn't take any prizes with this one, but I had fun making it and I am sure some lucky little girl will enjoy it.
I had a lot of fun making these. The Candy Cane Covers pictured here are made using a pattern from A booklet by Annies Attic called "The Ultimate Christmas Tree". I made the covers using South Maid bedspread weight in red and Knit Cro Sheen in a pearly white. Real candy canes could be used, but I wanted to keep these for a while. I used (forgive me) plastic candy canes that were very inexpensive.
More to Come...
