Canada. For those of you who don't know where Cambridge is...it's about 1 1/4 inch west of Toronto and 2 inches north of Buffalo, NY according to my map!
I'm married to a wonderful man named Dave
. We have two lovely children...a 9 yr. old daugher...Ali and a 5 yr. old son...Shane. Boys, take heed, those of you who wish to take Alison out, must submit a completed application! Girls, Shane's application will be out shortly! You may think we're starting early, but we can never be too careful these days! I am Chinese and Dave is half Dutch, a quarter Syrian and a quarter British ...does this mean that our children are mixed up?!? Ali is in Grade 3 and Shane is going to Kindergarden. All three of them try to keep me on my toes!!When I'm not working on this page I like to chat in the GO Arts and Crafts room, where most of my cyber friends live! They know me as Popcorn MOM! Why Popcorn Mom? I make popcorn at my Ali's school every Friday as a fund raiser. I'm in the school at 7:00am to start popping corn. I make between 250 and 300 bags every week. Which is why I've taken on the name "Popcorn MOM! Besides making popcorn, I help out in the developmentally challenged class at the school. They have a swimming therapy program which I help a girl on a one to one basis. She has inproved greatly since we started working together. I also volunteer at my husband's workplace for social events.
While I'm not chatting, volunteering or driving Ali and Shane to all their lessons, I love watching science fiction TV or movies...especially MOVIES! During with I will be either knitting or x-stitching! Both Dave and I love Star Trek: The Next Generation reruns and Star Trek: Voyager.
If I can find the time, I would like to play my tuba again. With my time so filled
with many other things, I don't have the time to practice, but then who needs practice to play goose eggs! I would like to play in a brass quintet again. I can do some arranging and composing and can play the "A & W" Root Bear Theme"!I have an extensive Mickey Mouse collection. Mostly music boxes with "Walt Disney Productions" imprinted and many Disney books. Some of them out of print. There is not much more I can learn about early Mickey. Most find me an expert...but I consider myself a novice!! There is not one room in my house without Mickey in it!!
Some of my cybersisters from the chart room introduced me to this group of wonderful women. A friend, a shoulder, some help, or just a friendly hello, The Ladies of the Heart will always be there for you! While I was working on my new page, one of the most interesting things I found is Florigraghy. It is the language of flowers, a lost art of sending secert messages to a loved one via flowers. 
I was wondering why the Ladies chose a yellow rose for the background of their logo. The yellow rose has several meanings, I believe for The Ladies it is "Try to Care". Since I've hooked up to the net, joined the chat room, Ladies of the Heart and a few web-rings, I've been receiving lots of e-mail. Most of them are jokes! I've compiled a few of the ones I love the best! Have a peek!
My last love is cooking. When I cook, chat, go to meetings, make popcorn, etc., I have a Diet Coke in my mug!! It's very easy for me to get my mug filled when I'm chatting, since my puter is in the kitchen. With a roll of the chair, I'm at the fridge! A roll back and I'm chatting again! What a life! Now if I can only figure out how to do everything else as easily, I'll be very happy! 
I owe PA DOVER $14.21 for this fancy popcorn table. He whittled it for my popcorn machine. Done in 1 hour and 56 minutes!! He does great woodworking and fast to boot!! THANKS PA!
