Youthline volunteers provide over 30,000 hours per year of time to maintain and provide our service to the Auckland community.			Youthline has approximately 70 people in Leadership Training and Development Programmes.		Over 250 people attended Personal Development and Communication Skills programmes in 1997.
	Over 250,000 minutes of phone counselling (that is listening and assisting others) is provided each year.			The average age of a Youthline volunteer is approximately 24 years old.		.Over 2,000 hours of Face to Face Counselling was provided in 1997.
	Over 10,000 people were involved in some aspect of our services in 1996.			Over 300 people contacted Youthline expressing the possibility of killing themselves in 1997.		The problems that people contacted Youthline most about in 1997 were loneliness, isolation and relationships.
	43 skilled senior Youthliners provide our Face to Face service.			A sad fact is New Zealand almost leads the world in youth suicide.		Youthline has been involved in 2 adventure programmes for teenagers over the last year.
	Over 290 volunteers are involved in assisting Youthline provide its services.			Youthline provided family counselling for over 20 families in 1997.		In 1997 over 100 community outreach programmes were provided in the Auckland community, covering stress
	Youthline trains over 150 people each year in basic people helping skills.					management, anger management, conflict resolution, communication skills, plus many others.
