" I just want to say "Thank You" for all the fans out there who still remember my husband and the wonderful music he left us with. With out the fans he could not have accomplished his dreams. Thanks again. "

In 1998 , I heard my first song by Beau Jocque and the Zydeco Hi-Rollers. It was "Tighten Up" originally by Archie Bell and the Drells. It was one of the few times in my life that a song made me want to go the music store and buy the CD. I bought all the Beau Jocque Zydeco music I could get, trying to catch up on what Zydeco fans had known for years. Beau Jocque was creating fans all over the world through his music and stage presence. His music became a part of my life.

Sadly on Dec. 10, 1999 Beau Jocque passed away.I never got the chance to see him perform live, and will always regret that. At the time I had only had his music in my life for a year but it is still with me to this day. His music has been a part of my good times as well as my bad times.

I made this web site to say thank you to Beau and the musicians who surrounded him in his life. For all his fans and to all his friends and family. Its a simple tribute to honor the man whose music I have loved.....Ruben
Please feel free to send me any informaition, photos, stories, and / or thoughts you care to share.

Beau Jocque "He was one of the most exciting artists I had ever seen," said Rounder Records' Scott Billington, who produced five of Jocque's albums. "The first
time I saw him reminded me of hearing James Brown or (blues legend) Howlin' Wolf for the first time. He took zydeco and transformed it into music that was thoroughly contemporary. He energized the whole scene in south Louisiana."
