WHEN TO USE 9-1-1
call 9-1-1 to report a Crime, Fire, Heart Attack or other Serious Medical Condition or injury, or any situation requiring the IMMEDIATE response of a FIRE TRUCK, AMBULANCE, OR LAW ENFORCEMENT VEHICLE

WHAT THE 9-1-1 DISPATCHER WILL NEED TO KNOW
1. The location of the emergency
2. The phone number where the emergency is
3. The nature of the emergency
YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE THE 9-1-1 CALL WILL COME IN TOO, MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT NEXT DOOR SO THEY MIGHT NEED DIRECTIONS ESPECIALLY IF THE STATES AND COUNTY BORDERS EACH OTHER

IT IS IMPORTANT TO STAY CALM, SPEAK CLEARLY, STAY ON THE LINE UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO HANG UP

"DO NOT CALL 9-1-1 AS A PRANK" AS YOU MAY BE INTERFERING WITH SAVING A LIFE OR PROPERTY AND YOU MAY HAVE THE POLICE KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR
