There was an American magazine called `Toy Trains` which generally included full size plans for railway accessories, such as buildings, hotels, farm sheds, etc. Here are two such items made from cardboard. A Signal Tower and a Church. The Signal Tower was supposed to be one evening`s work for a youngster, but that was rather optimistic! The steps were particularly tricky to make. The magazine was dated 1953, and ceased production some time not long after that.
Small toy train layout such as was popular in past years. Sharply curved track known as 027, which is 0 gauge, and a table at least 27 inches wide is required. Marx M 100005 `diesel` streamliner on track. This train is about 50 years old. Also a more modern `Percy` can be seen, with a Lionel Giraffe car (Giraffe ducks his head under a low barrier across the track). Sundry accessories can be seen - a Brimtoy station, a Marx tunnel, etc.
