Introduction by Stefano Graiff

Preface by Marcello Graiff

The book is in Italian.

The photography is breathtaking.

A fitting tribute to the Village of Romeno and the People of Romeno,
past and present.
Those who descend from the People of Romeno always have a piece of Romeno in their hearts.

Dr. Andrea Graiff graciously shares credit with a number of contributing authors and has developed a fine historical reference of Romeno, up to and including the present time.

The book is hard cover, contains 349 pages with many historical and current photographs in black & white as well as in color.

There are stories of success as well as reflections of sadness.

Included are sections regarding the immigration of the people of Romeno to other parts of the world in a time of great famine and poverty.

Pages 58 & 59 discuss the immigration of Virginio Anselmo Graiff, who became a gold miner in Leadville, Colorado and died at age 34 of miner's consumption.

Pages 53 - 55 hold a letter Virginio wrote in 1922 to his sister, Celesta Graiff Gabardi, telling her about farming in Idaho.

Pages 56 $ 57 - 'Il cugini Callisti' reveals information about the grandfathers of Hector Zucal, in Argentina.

Pages 82 - 84 reveals the horrific end to the productive life of Padre Luigi Graiff, at the hands of terrorists in Kenya.

Page 294 tells the story of the immigration of Oreste Zucal from Romeno to New Mexico, USA.  Oreste was a close friend of Andrea's father, Alfredo.
