THANKSGIVING CENTERPIECE

This turkey centerpiece is sure to charm your Thanksgiving guests, and/or delight your host/hostess. A couple days before, shop for a beautiful big fresh pineapple. It is especially important that you choose one with a spectacular top in excellent condition, because this will be the turkey's tail feathers.

The pineapple has been a universal symbol of hospitality and welcome for many centuries all over the world. More on Symbolism of the Pineapple CLICK HERE

HOW TO:
Click and download free pattern. Print the pattern and make a cardboard copy. Trace around the cardboard pattern with a pencil right on the (dark red) felt. With two pieces of (dark red) felt together, stitch (sew) right on your pencil line. Important - do not sew the bottom closed. Cut the turkey head out, leaving approx. 1/4" allowance beyond stitching.

Using pattern as a guide cut out a beak of antique gold felt (allowing for both sides and a tiny bit extra). Use fabric glue, or hot glue and glue the beak on. Glue or embroider eyes on.

Stuff with poly fiber fill. . . place on pineapple and secure using straight pins.
