Great Grandmother Lucinda's mother was Millie Moss, (Indian) Great Great Grand Millie Moss had a son, Billy Moss and a brother Alfred Moss. The Moss family lived on a Georgia plantation during part of Millie's life as a slave cook. She had 3 slave owners.
It is said that Millie Moss was lashed by one of her owners because she warned President Lincoln about a plot to kill him.
After slavery was abolished the Mosses changed their name to Malone. Cousin Frankie (Malone) Shaw is a Malone descendant Her brother, Buster Malone is deceased.
