Memorial Day 2000:
Chuck's Boat Trip
The big sailor abandons his family to take a night trip across Lake Michigan to South Haven and then cruise to New Buffalo with some other boat addicts. We went 160 NM and I stayed pretty dry once we figured out how to stop the waves crashing over the cabin. |

Spring Break 2000
Chuck drove the kids to Florida with Orpha and her friend Tip.
We hung out at Aunt Annie's where the ocean beach is nearby and you can fish, paddle and swim off the back patio. Greg caught a big Redfish and it really did taste like chicken. Lizards, birds, porpoises, frogs, and friendly jellyfish abound. Katherine wants to live in Florida when she grows up. Dad gained 5 pounds. Mom and LaLa got some peace and quiet back home. |
