My Family

Here is my tribe!

Thats all of us at Christmastime in Nebraska. One big happy family (well most of the time anyways! LOL)

This is Ben. He is 10 1/2. :o) He is a big sports nut! His favorite teams are the Green Bay Packers (of course!) for football and the Chicago Bulls for basketball. He loves beanie babies and is very artistic. Wish he would put his heart into his reading like he does his artwork! LOL His favorite past time is playing basketball and football with his school buddies. And he loves to irritate his siblings. But what else would a 10 year old want to do?

This is my one and only daughter Danielle. She is almost 9 (April). Beanie Babies, Precious Moment figurines and color books, horses and cats are her most favorite things! She is very athletic and loves to compete with her brothers. She is very artistic also. Loves to color and draw. And she loves spending time with her friends, she is a social butterfly just like her mamma! :o)

This here is Ryan. He is 7 and is quite energetic! (Thats putting it mildly!:o)) He also loves beanie babies, sports and anything his big bro does! He is so much like his uncle (my brother) that it scares me!!! Oh no...not two of them in one family!!!! He is a jokester. A junior Jim Carey. An anything for a laugh kind of kid. (YIKES!) LOL His favorite things to do are hang out with his friends, bother his sister, and play on our playstation.

And here is Aaron... the baby of the family. He just turned 4 in December and is sooooooo ready for kindergarten! But because of his birthday he won't be going for more than a year! He loves watching movies (especially the Land Before Time series!), beanie babies, animals, and playing playstation also. His favorite past time is going to Wal-Mart! I swear they pay him to go there! :o)

Here are our dogs. Cricket, our black lab. german sheperd cross, is just a baby! She is a little over 6 months old right now, but in these pics she is 9 weeks and 19 weeks. Cheif, our red siberian husky, is our "old man". He is going to be 5 this year in June. We got him just before Aaron was born and they have "grown" up together.

Here is my three-legged wonder cat. Her name is Tripie. We got her three years ago. She was a stray from the neighboring city and one very cold October night her foot apparently froze in a puddle of water and the poor thing chewed her foot off to get free. Some one caught her and took her to the local vet office. They had to remove her whole leg because otherwise she would just keep reinjuring it. My friend worked at the clinic and told me about Tripod (thats what they named her). I went and took a look at her and fell in love with the scrawny little thing. I renamed her Tripie cuz I felt Tripod was to masculine. :o) Since then she has literally blossomed into a beautiful feline. She can run just as fast as any cat and has adapted quite well to her "handicap".

And this little furball is my daughters hamster Rascal. My husband gave her that cute little rodent last year for her birthday. Recently (when we got home from PA) we thought we lost poor Rascal. She somehow managed a prison break and we thought for sure the mighty hunter Tripie got her. But as luck would have it Rascal somehow managed to keep away from the cat. No small miracle considering for a cat with only three legs she hunts better than any four legged one I have had! The hamster angels were definately looking out for Rascal that weekend!
