Some Sample Documents

These documents are transcribed and translated samples of original 19th

century church documents. There is absolutely no way that any number of
documents will contain all the words and phrases that are possible in the Portuguese
language, but these should contain enough of the standard phraseology to get you
started. As I gain more experience, and find more time, I intend to include some of
the 20th century civil documents in my possession. Obviously, I intend to
eventually include both civil and church documents for every century with which I
come into contact. For the time being, however, I have no 20th century church
documents, 19th century civil documents, or any documents from centuries before
the 19th.
