Hello and welcome, my name is Jennifer and I am a survivor. I would like to fill you in on a little about me. I am currently a sophmore at a community college in Texas. This is my second time coming to school. The first time didn't work out because I was just married and had a child and then graduated from high school, so I was not ready for college at that time. This time I am committed all the way.

I grew up in North Carolina, I was a coastal girl. I loved the beach and all the trees. I would love to go out in the woods to find some quiet time when I was younger. I loved to go to the beach no matter what time of the year, it was so soothing to hear the waves crashing onto the shore. You could get lost there for hours. And I did.

I have been in Texas for 11 years, long enough to be considered a Texan they tell me, but my home will always be N.C. My life here was traumatically different from my life in N.C. There is not much to do or see where I am, there is no water, no trees. Ok there is water and trees but I am not talking about mud puddles and shrubs.

My senior year in high school I got pregnant with a wonderful litte girl who is now seven, Priscilla. I married her father for the wrong reasons and thought that I could make it last. This would not be my advice to anyone now. I suffered through this marriage for a while and had a fantastic, energetic little boy, Zecheriah who is four. He loves to try my patience because he is hyper, alot. I finally met a man who showed me that not all things are bad and treated me the way a person should be treated.

I had a affair with this man that ended up with me getting pregnant for the last time. My baby Dakota Rae, 10 months, gave me the strength that I needed to get on with my life without my husband, I am currently getting a divorce. Dakota's dad and I are still in love and see each other often. It is not at this point that I want to be with him all the time. He is living seperate from me but comes around to see the baby and me all the time. He loves us both very much and has provided me with alot of strength also. He encourages all I do and want to do with my life.

The most important things to me are my children and my continued fight against child abuse. I do not see how anyone could ever hurt a child but I know how close you can come because there are hard times for all of us and we all have our breaking points. I hope that with my website to at least help one person. Everything included in my site has somehow touched me. I would like to invite you to comment on anything or submit whatever you want to my pages.
Again thank you for coming to see my site. :)
