Came to America 1764
Died in near Staunton, Virginia
Christoph Diefenbach half brother to John Balthasar; Christopher Kirchhoft and Abraham, his sons-in-laws; George, John, Rev. Henry and Jacob Diefenbach, his sons; Ludwig Clapp of NC; John Albrecht of NC; John C. Albrecht of Berks Co., PA; Isaac Burke of NC and OH; John Coleman of Somerset Co., PA; John Wantz of PA and OH; and their children.
In 1821 Henry Diefenbach, son of the above, began to write in German script the history of his father’s family. Henry Diefenbach was a minister in the Reformed Church in the United States and in 1821 was living and preaching in Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA. From time to time, as news came to him he would write additions to his data in his book. The inscription on the first page reads..... |
