It all began when my mommy found out that she was pregnant with me 3 days after Christmas in 1994. She was so excited because three months earlier she had a miscarriage. Everything seemed to be going fine in the begining but during an ultrasound at 4 months they found a problem. I was surrounded by too much amniotic fluid so the doctor sent mommy to the hospital to have a second ultrasound done. It was confirmed that there was too much amniotic fluid and the doctor told mommy that I might need surgury after I was born but he was unsure of my condition since the lungs can't be seen very well on ultrasounds. Mommy was scheduled for another ultrasound on June 19 but on June 18 mommy wasn't feeling very well but she decided to wait until the next day for the ultrasound to see the doctor. But that morning something told her to get in right away but never expected that this is the day I would come into the world. She went to the doctor's office at 9:30 and since mommy thought she had a kidney infection or something he was doing some tests then he checked her and it was dicovered that she was fully dialated and fully efaced. The doctor immediately called for the NICU team to meet us at the hospital that I was going to be born very soon. At 11:15am I was born weighing 5lb 5oz. and I was very sick. I was immediately taken to the NICU to be incubated to try to stabalize my airway. At 12:30 mommy got to see me for the first time but after 30 minutes it was time for the shift changes and mommy had to leave. A little while later the doctor came in and told her that I could not survive because my lungs were not developed due to the amniotic fluid. I was taken off all the tubes and wires and was going downstairs to meet my mommy but I couldn't make it. I went to be with Jesus at 2:00pm. That is the story of my short life here on earth but now I watch over my mommy and my sister on earth. I can't wait until they come and hold me in this beautiful place in heaven. Though the story of my life is short, I will live in my mommy's heart forever.
