For anyone who is curious about the spelling of his name, DeCoteau is his Grandfather's last name, who unfortunately passed away before Decoteau was born. I felt that the best way to honor my father, James DeCoteau, was to name his first grandson after him! I know that wherever he is, he is smiling and very proud of his grandson!

this world, and was pretty bruised up. he had to stay in the NICU for 5 days.

Decoteau went to the Dr. today, April 18th, 2000, for his 1 year check-up. He weighs 21 pounds, 9 ounces, and he is 30 inches long... he's going to be tall like his daddy!
He is eating all regular table foods now, he has 10 teeth...no problem chewing.
He is standing on his own, but not walking yet...
He is a joy to everyone he meets, and a consumate flirt! (just like his grandfather)
He chatters at us all the time, most of his little baby stories are about 'dadadada' and not much else yet, but he's working on it!
