Cox being her mother, Wilma's, maiden name and used her mothers SSI number to obtain a job at Orsini Vineyard's new bookkeeper with Tad Martin her boss. With the new face, new name, and new job, no one in Pine Valley knew who Jane Cox really was, no one but Harold the dog. So Janet drugged Harold and put him on a moving truck to California. Which begins the Lassie come home part of our story. For weeks we followed Harold's trek back to Pine Valley.

Trevor. Trevor fell in love with "Jane" and asked her to marry him. But when the big day came and just as Trevor and "Jane" were about to say "I Do" Harold showed up and exposed Jane as Janet. Trevor was so angered by this he promised that Janet would never see Amanda again!
