Interesting. I'm interested in a poodle that can HUNT! I beleive that standard blacks will contain the broadest genetic base for the qualities I desire. My grandfather owned a hunting club in Northern California and HIS choice for a hunting dog was a s
andard black.

Concerning unsigned post below.
Welcome. Easily noted you are not well-informed and speak with little love of standard poodles. Perhaps you may be educated by studying at The Canine Diversity Project. My "line" is little different from any other black standard poodle "line" in the wo
ld until I began trying to outcross this past decade.
With help from many educated mentors, we are breeding beautiful intelligent puppies with inbreeding under 6%. Do you understand that therory? Whomever you are, you realize that the only "unhealthy" litter produced by Tiara was the "U" litter of 1987. 5
champs in the litter doesn't mean we ignore the health problems. And with further research it is noted that these problems occur with frequency with inbred dogs decending from the Wycliffe Kennels' founders. My request is that other breeders do not breed
from this U litter, is that what your problem is? And why would I breed to Cadillac .. ?. . now everyone reading this would like to know from you why I would breed to a dog I have produced from a 14% inbred pedigree . .. so to make it 20% and a whole bun
h of winners? Sorry, I hope to utilize Caddilac's "Style" when I am many more generations away from his dam . . . does that make sense to you? Please study at The Canine Diversity Project. Thank you for your attention to my website and my breeding prog
am. I will be happy to help you better understand planned breedings for the future of standard poodles.
Yours in Poodles, Julie Ann Borst, Tiara Black Standard Poodles, La Jolla, California

starts here
What it appears really happened is Ms. Julie could no longer breed her own (very successful) line because it had become too notorious for producing problems (thus her current crazy outcrossing to nothing-producing dogs for an artificially low figure meani
g little, so
now she's MAD at anyone else who has continued to breed from those dogs. She won't even use her Cadillac Style altho she certainly uses "breeder of the number 1 dog in the country" in all her materials.

Hi Julie,
Pepsi is doing really well and has truly become a part of the family. He loves Thomas
our Maine Coon cat. He gives him a doggy tongue bath a least twice a day and Thomas has to
spend at least two hours cleansing himself.
Pepsi is a truly spoiled child who even has his own "Barney toy" that he loves!
I hope all that have a Standard Poodle from Julie, love them and get as much
fun from them as I do. (Pepsi is from the "S" Litter '98)

Hi Julie, Thanks for saying hello when you visited my site. I've turned off the music on my Guestbook signing page for you... Jazz learned to target last week. Today, she was able to balance standing on her hind feet. This surprised me since she is not a
quare build like the purebred Chow Chows. She won't be jumping untill May but she has great strength for it already. At 46 pounds I imagine she is smaller than your dogs. My best friend in Fresno has a black standard poodel male. I've been enjoying the Ag
leDogs E-mail list. At 40 letters per day I've learned a lot about agility even though our classes won't start untill April. We are looking forward to the Madera, CA event and the Placerville, CA event coming up soon.

Hi,
Thanks for signing my guestbook. The Tiara Standard Poodles and family are located a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean in a town called Pacific Beach. On the map, it is the next town South of La Jolla and actually a suburb of San Diego (which is only 30
miles North of Mexico!).
Sincerely, Julie Borst, breeder

Sue, yes, we plan to atttend and exhibit at the National Poodle Show the week of June 14th in Maryland (1999). Looking forward to competing in Agility and perhaps even the Bred-by Exhibitor class. . .it's been a few years since I've attended and I look f
rward to seeing all the poodles and their breeders.
Kris Bucheit in Mt Pleasant, PA just co-bred an exciting litter with me, contact me for details.

My family has had a standard poodle before. We learned a lot about the Poodle from your website and the links you provided. Thank you. We hope to get a poodle this summer (99). Will you be coming to Maryland for the National Show in June?
I wish we had read "Puppy Comes Home" before our last pup! Thanks again.
