Ruth & George Crampton

Having fought for the allies as a Polish patriate during WW II, my father had a choice (between 5 countries) to emigrate. He chose Canada. Canadian law required that he work for a Canadian family for 2 years - dad's family in Poland were farmers, so he chose farm work. Dad began work at the Ed & Mary Crampton farm in Kemble Ontario in 1946. The Cramptons' son George was the same age as my father - George & Dad became just like brothers - in fact, George taught my dad how to speak English. In 1946, George married Ruth - the Cramptons have become lifelong family friends.

Adam & Emma Barton (Grandma & Grandpa)

Dad worked for the Bartons on their Saskatchewan farm after "going west" from Kemble Ontario. Dad later bought the Barton farm and farms the land to this day.
