Welcome to our

Birdhouse Page

We love watching wild birds move into the birdhouses we've made for them. The birds are always busy cleaning the houses, collecting and arranging nesting materials. It is always so satisfying to watch nature take its course in these birdhouses as the eggs hatch and baby birds grow enough to fly away. Knowing that we've contributed to this lifecycle is both heartwarming and humbling. Mother Nature at her finest with a little helping hand.

Alpine Chalet An alpine chalet for the?mountain loving birds...!!

A guard shack reminiscent of European border crossings. ?This photo shows one mounted in a tree and ready for habitation by one of our fine feathered friends. ?No squirrels allowed...!!! ?If those darn squirrels would just learn to read the signs.??

Guard House - Border Crossing

50's Tract House A 1950's style tract house just like so many of us were either raised in or raised our children in...some had garages and others like this one simply featured a carport...

A little red school house common in small towns throughout the midwest and deep south over the past 100 years. ?Unfortunately, they've become rare and are now used as homes, bars and stores...or bird houses!! Little Red Schoolhouse

Caboose Train, train, take me on out of this place... ?For many of us in the midwest, the ever present train tracks and the loneseome?blow of the whistles remind us of a simpler time. While sitting at the train crossing waiting for the train to pass, we would count the number of cars until the caboose passed by. ?Now trains criss-cross our country without the caboose...how sad!!

Another train birdhouse. ?
