The Quilt

We make this quilt to join our hearts,Growing love begins to start.

The useless sense of another person dying. The white walls swallow, people are crying.

This sickness which then leads to death, upon their bed the final breath.

Slowly dying through the years Grieving families shed their tears.

Love in God, faith in the church,Hope and prayer continue our search.

Strength we carry, love we provide; Why did another person have to die?

This taboo surrounding our day,People will deny it in every way.

We must join and fight together or we will all fall victim forever.

This Quilt we make is to be a sign, another person dies in the passing time.

A memory that is forever sealed, through people's love, we slowly heal.

In Loving Memory Of Uncle Bill And Uncle Mark.

AIDS Panels are 3 feet by 6 feet -- the size of a human grave. As the epidemic claims more lives, the Quilt continues to grow. The Quilt stands for more than the tens of thousands of people whose names are sewn into the fabric. It stands, as well, for the sorrow, anger, love and hope of people who make panels.
