Ideas for Family Activities

It's Easy

Simply choose something, anything, to do as a family. To make this easy, we have even given you some suggestions. Pick one and go for it!!
  1. Go to the movies.
  2. Cook a family dinner. Give each memeber of the family a task.
  3. Go bowling.
  4. Go ice skating.
  5. Play a board game.
  6. Find a community activity or an organization that needs volunteers. (Christmas in April is always in need of volunteers.)
  7. Plan a family outing at a museum or art gallery.
  8. Go bike riding.
  9. Rent a video.
  10. Go for a walk -- you may be surprised at what you might discover in your own neighborhood.
  11. Attend a sporting event.
  12. Read the newspaper.
And now for some "Fall Fun" suggestions from the City Newsletter:
  1. Go for a hike in the woods and admire the changing leaves.
  2. Go camping and roast marshmallows over a campfire.
  3. Play a game of touch football.
  4. Make your own scarecrow for the garden or front porch.
  5. Have your own Oktoberfest celebration.
  6. Go apple picking, then make an apple pie or bob for apples.
  7. Bake cookies and share them with your friends and neighbors.
  8. Make popcorn and enjoy a movie.
  9. Pick your own pumpkin and make a scary jack-o-lantern.
  10. Tell ghost stories.
