The Nacogdoches friends of Mr. And Mrs. W. A. King, who formerly resided here, were greatly shocked this morning when a telephone message was received announcing the sad and unexpected death of Mrs. King, which occoured at her home in Cenetr this morning at 1:10 o’clock.  Mrs Lizzie King and G. H. King, her cousin ans uncle of this city, received a message Sunday night stating that she was seriously ill with paralytic rheumatism, but they did not think that she was so near death’s door.

Luna, as she is known by all her friends, was a true Christian, had a lovable disposition, and made a numerous number of friends where ever she went.  She was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. T. J. Jacobs, deceased, she was born and reared at Chireno, where she married W. A. King, who at the time was an employee of E. C. Branch of the Nacogdoches Telephone Co.

They made this place their home until a few years ago, when Mr. King bought an interest in the Sabine Valley Telephone Co. at Center, where they have since resided.  Besides her husband and two little children, she has many relatives and a host of friends who will deeply feel the loss of her love and sweet friendship.

The funeral party will arrive on the noon train and go to the residence of G. H. King from which place she will be buried this afternoon at 4 o’clock in the city cemetery.

In respect to the high esteem to which Mr. and Mrs. King were held by the telephone companies of Center, San Augustine, Tenaha, and Texas Central of this city, are draped in mouring.
