Learn More About Us

I was born in Longview, Washington and lived there until the summer before my sixth grade year. During those years, I participated in Camp Fire Girls (which later became Camp Fire Girls and Boys) and many American Red Cross functions ranging from disasters to volunteer award banquets. I had a good childhood for the most part. It was hard sometimes being raised only by my Mom. I tried to go visit my Father quite regularly when I was little but he worked the night shift at a paper mill and needed his sleep during the day. To make up for this I kept busy with piano lessons and ballet. Before my sixth grade year, my Mom was offered a great opportunity as Chapter Manager of The American Red Cross in Astoria, Oregon.

It was a hard transition, at first, but I grew to really like Astoria for the people and surroundings. I swear--No one ever dies there! I quit ballet to start playing sports and finally got a job at Fred Meyer pushing baskarts and helping people with their groceries. "Would you like paper or plastic, Ma'am?" High school came and went and I found myself driving off to college. Boy does time fly!

I found myself in Butte, Montana going to college. Butte is a definite college town. There is a bar on every corner! I'll just say I had a lot of fun and wasted a lot of money. Unfortunately, I ended up moving back to Washington with my parents and had to get a job! I joined the Navy but decided I was going to wait for the perfect job to become availiable so I started working at Forks Thrifty Mart as a cashier and soon started going to school at Peninsula College. One day my recruiter called and it was almost time to go. I went through boot camp and went to Electrician Mate "A" School located in Great Lakes, Illinois. From there, I was sent to Guam to work on board the USS Frank Cable home ported in Guam. It was there that I met Craig!

Craig is from Michigan but has lived in Florida, Cuba, Guam and a few others too! We got married December 2, 2000 and couldn't be happier! I recently completed Master-at-Arms "A" School and we are now in Italy!
