I am a Registered Nurse. I have worked in many areas in my 15 years as a Nurse. Currently, I am a stay at home Mom and enjoying every bit of it. Although, my work was a joy as well. I used to work in home health for a local hospital. I worked in the Home Infusion Division, which specializes in treating patients at home with IV therapy, feeding tubes and central lines. I have worked with pediatric patients as well as adults. As a home infusion nurse, I was blessed with knowing many patients. Some of these patients were terminally ill, while others (except for some transient and bazaar infection) were fairly healthy. Some were long term and some were rather brief. I have been fortunate to have been involved in many terminal cancer patient's lives. I say this because until you know someone with cancer or their families, you will never know the true meaning of the word strength or commitment.
During my nursing career, I have worked with children in Pediatrics and the Newborn Nursery as well as PICU and NICU. I have also worked as a Team Leader on a Medical/Surgical floor specializing in cardiac, pulmonary and geriatric care. I have also served as a representative for Infection Control.
I loved being a nurse and believe that everyone has their calling in life. I pray that everyone finds the courage, conviction and insight to believe in themselves, to realize what their calling is, and to respond to that call |
