Her Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away--
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets--
this earth is only one...
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
where there are not days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost--
and SHE WAS LOVED SO MUCH...

The Rose Beyond The Wall
Near shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding its sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength
with never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing its fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,

Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of youre,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forevermore.

~A Child From God~
~~Life isn't a matter of milestones but of moments. Rose Kennedy~~

"I'll lend you, for a little time,
a child of Mine", He said.
"For you to love her while she lives,
And mourn her when she's dead."

"It may be six or seven years or maybe only fourteen,
but will you, 'til I call her back, take care of her for Me?

She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief~
you'll have her precious memories as solace for your grief.

"I cannot promise she will stay ~ since all from earth must return,
But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn.

"I've looked the wide world over in search of teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give her all your love,
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me, when I come to call
To take her back again?

I fancied that I heard them say
'Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joys thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness,
We'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.

'But should the Angels call for her much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand.
