    Joseph Milton Miller was born September 7, 1862. His parents were John J. Miller
    from Bedford CO PA. and Virginia Cain born in Pleasant TWP., Grant CO., IN.

    In 1865, when Joseph was three years old, his father John J. Miller enlisted in Company D,
    one hundred and fifty third Indiana regiment.

    It is said after the Civil War his mother and father never got along. It was reported his father
    was mean after he returned from his enlistment.

    In 1871, when Joseph Milton Miller was nine years old, his father John J. Miller took up
    homesteading in Jewell CO. KS, where he lived until 1879.

    When he returned ,John J. Miller lived with one of his sons, and Joseph Milton Miller lived
    with his mother Virginia Cain Miller, untill her death December 1, 1908.

    Joseph Milton Miller met his future wife Christinia Nancy Weaver during the period, carring
    for his mother. Christinia Nancy Weaver was employed by them to do housekeeping.
    She was engaged to another man, but this was broke off and she married
    Joseph Milton Miller on July 8, 1888.

    This union brought ten children, of which became a very large family. Many family reunions
    were held back at this time, of which I have numerous pictures.

    Joseph Milton Miller was a farmer all of his life. His life was cut short,
    due to an accident in 1931at the age of 60. His wife Christinia Nancy Weaver Miller
    lived to be 93, living a full life.
