(Research):Christian Emmigrated from Alsace-Lorraine and  settled in PA.He is listed on the 1790 Census in Dauphin  County. May have married in PA. Came to the US with brother  Joseph and possibily one other. By late 1790  he is in  Elizabethtown, East Tn. No records aft 1811

 Children of Daniel3 Stover and Mary Johnson were as follows:

Phoebe Ward was a sister of Levicy Ward that married Christian Carriger in Carter County, Tennessee.
Another sister Mary Ward married Issac Lincoln.
Isaac Lincoln was the great uncle of President Abraham Lincoln.
All the Ward girls were married in Carter County, Tennessee.

Their father was William Ward one of the first men to reach Tennessee Country in the late 1700's.

Daniel and Phoebe had a son named named William Lincoln Stover. William Lincoln Stover married Sarah Drake.

The Drakes married into the Fitzsimmons line in Carter County, and my grandmother that married Maples Leonard Carriger, Sr. was from that line Fitzsimmons line in Carter County.

Maples Leonard Sr. was the Great Grandson of Christian Carriger and Levicy Ward Carriger.

William Lincoln Stover and Sarah Drake had a son named Daniel Stover II.

Daniel Stover II married Mary Johnson, daughter of President Andrew Johnson.

Colonel Daniel Stover II was killed in the Civil War.
He is buried in the Fitzsimmons Cemetery beside my GGGgrandfather William R. Fitzsimmons that married ______ Drake.

I was to this grave site in August.

Daniel Stover II and Mary Johnson Stover lived in the house on the Lincoln Plantation.

Andrew Johnson died in that house while visiting his widowed daughter Mary Johnson Stover.

Andrew Johnson became president upon the assissination of Abraham Lincoln.
