The following article was sent to me by R. L. Roberts...I have attempted to transcribe it as written by Opal Jarrett, from the actual book itself, and to duplicate spellings as they appeared within. The only changes/additions are punctuation marks added for clarity, to allow readers to follow the text easier. Be sure and follow the link at the bottom of the page to view listing of church members and the addtional historical notes provided by R. L. Roberts. I hope you enjoy the article as much as I have....Linda(Altom)Smith.

INTRODUCTION

This is copy found in a little black book that was kept for many years by L.G. Small, great grandson of Daniel Small and wife Rachel Altom Small.  L.G. sent the book to Katie Smith, his aunt, in turn she gave it to me Opal Altom Jarrett, the great granddaughter of Daniel and Rachel.  I hope those of you who come in contact with the information will cherish it as it has been through the years........Opal(Altom)Jarrett
