The earliest account I have of my Barnett line begins with JOHN BARNETT, who was born in Kentucky in 1799.
He married Sarah(?) born in 1800 in Virginia. It appears they had 9 children-6 boys and 3 girls. Of those children that I can account for are:

ELIJAH M. BARNETT was born in 1822 in Tennessee. He married Matilda A. (McBride) in Independance County Ar. on October 28, 1847. He was 25 years old and she was 19. Of that union they had the following:
Elizabeth Virginia born 1848 in AR.
Sarah M. born 1850 in AR.
Nancy J. born 1852 in AR.
Eliza born 1856 in AR.
Margaret E. born 1858 in AR.
Henrietta C. born 1859 in AR.
NOTE: ELIJAH AND MATILDA MARRIED 3 YEARS AFTER WILLIAM H. WAS BORN, SO THERE WAS PROBABLY A FIRST WIFE THAT I CAN'T ACCOUNT FOR AT THIS TIME AND WILLIAM HAD A DIFFERENT MOTHER THAN THE REST.
GGGrandfather William H. was born in March of 1844 in AR. He was married to Lavana A. (Haigwood)who was born in January of 1854 in Alabama. He remarried after Lavana died to Mary E. Satterwhite(no children of that union). William and Lavana had the following children:

In Matter of Will
of W. H. Barnett
Know all men by these presents that I, W. H. Barnett of Sandtown in the County of Independeance and State of Arkansas of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me-at any time heretofore made.
I hereby constitute and appoint J. W. Barnett, my son , my excutrix to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and the legacies hereinafter given out of my estate.
After the payments of my said debts and funeral expenses, I give to each of my children: JW., GH., R.A., Barnett and Arzinia Barnett, Nancy Myers, Samantha C. Lamb the sum of one dollar each and my wife Mary Barnett one dollar and the remainder of my property both real and personal to my Oscar C. Barnett.
In testimony, whereof hereto set my hand and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below this 12 day of Feb. 1912.
