GEORGE BAKER was born in Middlesex circa 1809. George, a shoemaker, and ELIZA WILLS had a daughter ELIZABETH BAKER 10th. May 1863 at Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. George died 7th. July 1879 in Hobart.

Elizabeth had a son GEORGE LEWIS BAKER 30th. April 1880 at the Lying In Hospital, Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, father unknown. Elizabeth married DAVID ROBERTSON 4th. February 1885 at Prahran, Melbourne, Australia. Her mother, Eliza was present as Eliza Nash.

Children of this marriage were - ELIZA ANN ROBERTSON born 1886 Melbourne, LILLIAN ROBERTSON born 1887 Melbourne, ETHEL MAY ROBERTSON born 1887 Melbourne, DAVID ALEXANDER ROBERTSON born 1888 South Yarra, CHARLES ROBERTSON born 1890 Armadale, RUTH MYRTLE ROBERTSON born 1892 Armadale, LESLIE ROBERTSON born 1895 Prahran and possibly others. Elizabeth later lived with GEORGE HAYTON at 358 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne between 1917 and 1923. and was known as Mrs. Hayton but, I think, had not married as she later called herself Elizabeth Robertson again.

George Lewis Baker married MINNIE ISABEL HALL 7th. February 1910 at Broke, N.S.W. Australia. Children of this marriage were - MARY "MOLLY" BAKER born 28th. November 1910, THOMAS GEORGE BAKER born 17th. December 1912, GRACE BAKER born 17th. May 1914 Merewether N.S.W. and ETHEL BAKER (my mother) born 5th. April 1917 Waterloo N.S.W.

Molly married WILLIAM ALEXANDER McMILLAN. She died 28th. October 1982 in Wingham, N.S.W.

Thomas married UNA DEVER. He died 6th. December 1988 in Belmont, N.S.W.

Grace married LEONARD CHARLES RICHES 5th. May 1951. She died 30th. May 1990 in Wauchope, N.S.W.

Ethel married MALCOLM REX STANDEN 10th. April 1939 in Broke, N.S.W.
