OLIVE BOOKS OF INTEREST


There is a new book entitled "Our Dead Sheriff" by Jim Dillard about John Thomas Olive who was killed in the line of duty in 1892 in Williamson County, Tx. I will post info on how to get a copy as soon as I find out.

This book is currently out of print again, as soon as they let me know they have had more printed I will post the info on my site. Also "The Ladder Of Rivers" ( the story of I. P. Also there is a book entitled" Bugger Saga" you should be able to get through Barnes&Noble or Books-a-million. If you can't find it, you may obtain a copy from Anderson's Bookland in Florence, Al. at 1-256-766-1163. It has quite a bit of info on the Olives and other people that lived in southern Tn. and northwest Al. during the Civil War. (very interesting)


The paperback version of " Biography of a Country Church" has been reprinted. This is the story of Johnson Olive, the founding pastor of the Olive Chapel Baptist Church, Johnson grandfather was John Olive son of Old James. Here is another book with a chapter about "Print Olive" It is entitled "THE SHOOTERS" by Leon Clair Metz and can be purchased at any large book store.

The Olive Trial by Carl E. Smith is a book about Print Olives trial and is from documented sources.


The Life and Times of Johnson Olive, an autobiography was published around the 1850s.
