Fun at the Lake

July 20, 1996, Lake Bonaparte -- Bradley had to leave early, so we allowed him to water-ski. No one else would because it was about twenty below! He went on the board, did lots of impressive moves, then did the same on the skis. Bradley thought the girls on the rocks were too comfortable, so he gave them a nice shower.

Then Uncle Paul got brave and took a quick turn around the lake. And lo and behold, the sun came out!!

Dick and Bradley went skiing double. They did such a good job that a family of ducks even swam by to check things out! Bradley must have been distracted by the ducks because he went down. But, troopers that they are, they got together again and off they went.

After a break to visit the fish pond (chronicled elsewhere in this newsletter), it was back to the water sports. Trust me, anyone who went in the water was a sport!!

Amber tried the tube and seemed to bounce, bounce along! But, Amber froze to death and so she was laid out in the boat to thaw.

Someone else could take her place! It’s Michelle and she is going for a nice slow ride around the lake! Oh, no, Amber thawed out and she’s back on the tube, getting the ride of her life!

Dwayne skied and didn’t fall this year -- our hero!

A great time was had by the beach bums of the McAdam "clam." We certainly have to vote those who attended "die hards."

Alas! Gloria, Chip, and family arrived! The story is that Chip went to Radio Shack and forgot the time. Well, I bet Gloria fell for that! I would be checking this story out!

But we all had a good chat. We also had a good time with a bottle of nuts and screws. What can I say -- it doesn’t take much to entertain some people!

Castle Builders!

Our very own magic-castle-in-the-sky (and on the sand) builders went to work to see who could build the best and brightest castle of them all! And the winners are:

Most original -- Amber, Jessica, and Michelle
