Brian Patrick O'Connor, IHS 1981, age 42, of 9 Park St., Ilion, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at his home.

Brian was born July 28, 1962 in Ilion, son of Francis T. and Hannah "Ann" C. (Hanretty) O'Connor. He attended Ilion Schools and was a graduate of Ilion High School. Brian worked as a Highwire Lineman for over 20 years as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1249, Syracuse, and was a Tree Surgeon, owning and operating Oaks Tree Service.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith. Brian enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Ilion Fish and Game Club, and the Ilion Elks Lodge 1444.

Survivors include his parents, Francis T. "Chant" and Ann O'Connor of Ilion; five brothers; one sister; and many extended family members.

There will be no public visitation. All services were held privately. All arrangements were entrusted to the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion.
