Doug went to his attic searching for memorabilia from 'another life'. He came across this old photo from basic training, Amarillo Air Force Base, May, 1967. That is him on the right (although his face is shadowed out), and Paul Flynn, AHS '65, on the left. Paul was leaving that day to travel somewhere for further training; Doug stayed at Amarillo for another month until his security clearance was okayed (he was in Air Force intelligence and needed the highest clearance they had, "Top Secret, Restricted" -- which is even higher than "Top Secret." It was obvious the FBI, which investigated people for such clearances, never talked to any of Doug's teachers! Also showing up at Amarillo during the time I was there were: Bob Moseley, '63; Eddie Poirier (spelling?), '66; and, Danny Grannan, '66.
