This section is my dad's side of the family. Edward Paul "Toby" Lavender married Grace Mae Lemaster. They were born and died in Johnson County, Kentucky. Toby worked for Big Sandy Hardware up to the time of his retirement. Grace was a house wife. They lived in Paintsville, Kentucky, till Toby retired. They then moved to Volga next to my Uncle Oral Conley. When Grace died in 1962 Toby stayed on the hill for several years. He raised flowers and cut them twice a week and took to the Hospital to give to the patients there. He loved flowers and feeding the birds. When it got to where he couldn't climb the mountain side any more he moved to an apartment in town. He lived to the age of 87.
