To all those that know me and to those that don't, I share my thoughts...

Sometimes events happen that numb the mind, to the heartbreak in Colorado, the senseless loss and empty arms. This is for you! May somehow our schools be safe, one day again.

Empty

Empty words to speak, what words make meaning of this?
Empty arms, not holding the promises of tomorrow.
Empty hearts, yet filling rapidly with pain.
Empty dreams, never more to be seen or dreamed again.

Where once was pools of laughter, dancing lights of glee.
Where once was a pool of hope and dreams,
Where once life, was full of joy.
Now lays pools of blood, split drained of life and empty.

Empty warm tears, fall quietly from the hell torn eyes.
Nothing makes sense, nor will it ever.
Returned and empty whys, fall silent, at the feet,
Of all those trying and failing to understand.

Empty silence returns, in place of what was life in promise.
The echo of silence, where youthful sounds rang out.
The promise of a sunrise forever taking,
But somehow, We find our way, and know we must.

Without Her Love

The night harshly closes in, amplifying all that is wrong.
All that is gone, everything that is lost.
Ever circling in a tighter band around him.
So very lost without her love.

So lost and all alone,
The fate sealed by a twist in time,
And the darkness sets heavy, like a band of darkened steel.
Enclosed a heart that had been shared.

Lost in a world full of empty sharing,
Moving toward nothing, and away from all.
Yet the sweet memories seep in,
A small warmth to his empty being.

Never to be free to give,
bound by all that so sweetly was.
Lost without that love..
Yet never quite alone.

If I Had Never Meet You.

If I had never met you
and watched the sun on your face,
Watched the way you glide threw life,
With such dignity and grace.

If I had never met you,
My heart would never know
The heights that love can take one
Where only true love dares to go.

If I had never met you,
My arms would never be,
Enlightened by the touch of you,
For what we were meant to see.

And in the finial hour,
When the sand runs threw the glass,
If I had never met you,
Much of what I am would never have come to pass.

NANCY

A silent strength was found there
Running deeply to her very core
Strength enough to let one lean
Walks with open arms always giving more

An easy smile the lend of strength
A friendly hand to comfort
A loving gaze to steady the way.
Given freely, definition of a friend

Carries her heart in silence
Dealing with day to day
Sharing in her quiet
Stumbles some,will extend a hand

Thanking you for your friendship
A peach to say the least
Thank you for the depth of caring
That spreads and lights the way.

Written and Held for a Lost Friend
STEVE

He is gone, ripped away.
Taken by an old fool, with nothing left to live for,
but afraid to end his own
So he takes ours...

Rage erupts around me,
blinding rage, that takes so much away.
Would rather be empty, than filled with rage.
Explosions erupt...empty time.
Both are gone, one a friend, the other an emptly fool

He walked with a smile, a lending hand
Laughter was his friend
Quick to help,slow to forsake
Never to forget..

Promises made, promises kept
A true friend missed
Another empty ache to bury..
We will join to Patrol another day

To:My Friends in The Gazebo

The sand shifts
The day slides by
The sun runs its path again,
And still I have in you...a friend.

The rocky road that twists thru life
Streches out into the uncertanty of tomorrow,
But by my side is the light of friendship,
Carried by the steady hand that wont slip

The memories of yesterday
Brighten the thoughts of tomorrow
Tomorrow built on mistakes and dreams of the past.
Remimbering that only friends can last.

OURS

I am, the strength in me screams out.
I deserve better than than this it seems,
to make the cut, to stand alone
Yet not alone for I can lean.

Somewhere along the way is forgotten
If ever known at all.
The strength in me to carry,
What should have been our load.

I have learned to love again,
By fate in time it has been
Able to lean in this passage,
On one thats more than friend.

Not having to fight alone
Not walking all by myself.
Giving and recieving love,
Tis the way its meant to be.

US

The day greets him with a smile,
But the warmth is added when she walks in.
Not the romance but the friendship lingers close.
A reminder that life is good, and she is kind

A shoulder wet from tears',
A gentle push when needed,
Always there always helping,
And always the best part of his day.

When the way gets blocked with angery words,
Or sickness holds you down,
Or the silence becomes overpowering,
As always there she is, lending strength.

And they shell walk as one, hand in hand till the
Darkness of the night bids so long.
The sound of distant laughter echoes in his ear,
Never straying far, never saying good-bye..always in his mind.
