Lace Ripple Afghan and Pillow

Materials:
8 100g balls worsted weight yarn for afghan
2 100g balls worsted weight yarn for pillow
size 5mm crochet hook
14"x14" pillow form

Instructions:
Afgan: ch 188.  Work Lace Ripple pat until approx. 63"  end with row 4 or 8  tie off

Lace Ripple Pattern:
row1: (right side):  dc in 4th ch from hook (turning ch counts as 1 dc), and in next 3 ch, * 3 dc in next ch, dc in next 4 ch; rep from * to last 5 ch, 3 dc in next ch, dc in last 4 ch, ch 1, turn.

Note:  work all rows through the back loop only beg row 2

Rows 2-4: sk first dc, dc in next 4 dc, * 3 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, sk next 2 dc, dc in next 4 dc; rep from * to last 6 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, sk last st, ch 1 to turn each row

Row 5: sk first dc, [dc in next dc, ch 1, sk next dc] twice, *[dc, ch 1] 3 times all in next dc, [sk next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1] twice, sk next 2 dc [dc in next dc, ch 1 sk next dc] twice; rep from * to last 6 sts [dc,ch 1] 3 times all in next dc, [sk next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1] twice, sk last st

Rows 6-8: sk first dc and first ch, [dc in next dc, ch 1, sk next ch] twice, *[dc, ch 1] 3 times all in next dc, [sk next ch, dc in next dc, ch 1] twice, sk next 5 sts, [dc in next dc, ch 1, sk next ch] twice; rep from * to last 7 sts, [dc, ch 1] 3 times all in next st, [sk next ch, dc in next dc, ch 1] twice, sk last ch and dc

Pillow  (make 2)
ch 56,  work Lace Ripple pattern until approx. 14" from beg, end pattern row 4 or 8  Tie off.  Sew together inserting pillow form.
